1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of eflegacy.org and any related digital services operated by Sister EF Legacy of Purpose Foundation. By using the site you confirm you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms.

2. Purpose of the site

Our website exists to share the mission of the Foundation, mobilise volunteers and partners, receive donation enquiries, publish stories and provide information about our programs. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not submit false, misleading or unlawful information through any form.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or data.
  • Do not upload viruses, malicious code or content that infringes the rights of others.
  • Do not impersonate the Foundation, our founder, staff or volunteers.

4. Donations and pledges

Donations made or pledged through the site are governed by our Donation Policy. Pledges captured through online forms are not financial transactions in themselves and become effective once payment is received.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, images, logos, video and audio — is owned by or licensed to the Foundation and protected by copyright. You may share and link to our content for non-commercial purposes with attribution. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

6. User submissions

When you submit a story, tribute, comment or form response, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, edit and publish the submission for purposes connected to our mission. You confirm you have the right to share what you submit and that it does not infringe the rights or dignity of others.

7. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites operated by partners or service providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the site available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or change parts of the site at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, save where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@eflegacy.org.
