1. Governance

SISTER EF LEGACY OF PURPOSE FOUNDATION NPC (Registration 2025/357025/08) is a registered non-profit company governed by its directors, who carry responsibility for financial oversight, risk and compliance. Governance, finance and reporting structures are being formally strengthened as the Foundation grows, and we publish only the controls that are currently in force.

2. Bank accounts and payments

  • All Foundation funds are held in dedicated bank accounts in the Foundation's name.
  • No personal accounts are used for Foundation income or expenses.
  • Payment authorisation and dual-approval controls are being formalised as part of our finance strengthening work.
  • Cash is minimised; where unavoidable, it is reconciled against receipts.

3. Income recording

Every donation, sponsorship and grant is recorded with the date, amount, source (where disclosed), allocation and reference. Donors receive acknowledgement and, where the Foundation holds the necessary approval, a Section 18A tax-deduction certificate.

4. Allocation

The Foundation directs income to programme delivery, with the balance funding the essential operations, compliance, safeguarding, technology and record-keeping that make programmes possible. We do not publish a fixed allocation percentage unless it has been formally adopted and can be evidenced.

5. Restricted vs unrestricted funds

Restricted funds (donor-designated for a specific program) are tracked separately and used only for the stated purpose. Unrestricted funds are allocated by the Board to the area of greatest need.

6. Procurement

  • Three quotations are obtained for goods or services above an agreed threshold.
  • Supplier selection is documented and free of personal benefit (see our Conflict of Interest Policy).
  • Where possible we procure locally to strengthen the communities we serve.

7. Audit and review

Financial statements are prepared in line with applicable accounting standards and, where required, submitted for independent review. We do not claim completed audits that have not taken place; verified statements will be published as they become available.

8. Reporting

Impact and finance reporting is published as it is verified, in aggregate and redacted form so that no person supported can be identified. Qualified funders and reviewers may request controlled, appropriately redacted financial and organisational information through our due-diligence process.

9. Cost recovery

Travel, accommodation and out-of-pocket expenses incurred on Foundation business are reimbursed only against original receipts, pre-approved in writing.

10. Anti-fraud

Financial controls are reinforced by our Anti-Fraud & Anti-Corruption Policy and our whistle-blower protections.

11. Contact

Requests for financial information can be sent to info@eflegacy.org.
