Subscription & Paid Services Terms

A donation is not a subscription, and a subscription is not a donation. These terms keep the two clearly separate.

Purpose

To set out the terms that apply to paid services and subscription plans, and to distinguish charitable donations to the Foundation from commercial subscriptions on partner platforms.

Scope

Any paid service offered by the Sister EF Legacy of Purpose Foundation, and the subscription plans offered by our independently owned partner platform, Funeora.

Responsibilities

The Foundation is responsible for donation handling and receipting. Funeora is independently responsible for its own subscription billing, pricing and customer terms.

Donations and subscriptions are separate

  • Donations are charitable contributions to the Foundation and are receipted by the Foundation.
  • Subscriptions are commercial purchases of a service and are not donations.
  • Funeora is a separate, independently owned commercial platform operating in partnership with the Foundation. Paying Funeora does not constitute a donation to the Foundation.

Current status

Paid subscriptions are not yet active. Pricing shown on partner pages is indicative and does not create a contract until billing is enabled and a plan is purchased.

Plans and billing

  • Plans are billed in advance for the period selected at checkout, monthly or annually.
  • Prices are shown before purchase and include applicable taxes where required.
  • Price changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect and never apply to a period already paid for.
  • Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider; full card details are not stored by the Foundation.

Cancellation

A subscription may be cancelled at any time. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for, and the plan then stops without further charge. There is no cancellation penalty.

Refunds

  • Where the law grants a cooling-off right, that right applies in full.
  • A refund is provided where a paid feature was not delivered, or where a duplicate or incorrect charge was made.
  • Refunds are not normally given for a period already used, except where required by law or where the circumstances plainly warrant it.
  • Donations are not refundable as a matter of course; see the Donation Policy.

Suspension

A paid account may be suspended or closed where these terms, the Community Guidelines or safeguarding rules are breached. Where an account is closed for a reason not caused by the member, the unused portion of the period is refunded.

Questions and disputes

Billing questions and disputes may be raised at info@eflegacy.org. We acknowledge every query within five working days.
